PAUL BYRON 
OWNER 

Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, Paul finished school and earned a Bachelor of commerce, majoring in marketing and business development, while working full time as manager of an iconic bayside restaurant. Since then, Paul’s career in the wine business has been extensive. He firstly excelled in distribution, where he was quickly promoted from sales representative to W.A state manager, and then to National sales manager based in Melbourne. A few years later, he then accepted an offer as General Manager for one of Western Australia’s oldest and most respected wineries and moved with his young family back to Western Australia. Identifying a business model that wasn’t available in the industry, he founded Periscope Management in 2007. 

 

JAN SKRAPAC 
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER 

Jan combines his Bachelor of commerce with a high level of industry experience. Jan’s previous roles include General Manager of Grape Expectations, Director and chairman of the Great Southern wine producers association, General manager of Plantagenet Wines, CFO of Lionel Samson & Son, Accountant at Cape Mentelle and Small business Specialists at ANZ Bank. Jan lives in Perth and is married with two young boys who keep him on his toes! 

 

KIM O’HARA 
DIRECTOR

Kim’s career has been devoted to acquiring the finer points of wine industry sales and working for some of Australia’s leading businesses. She has developed enduring industry contacts and relationships and is a well- respected colleague in the Australian wine industry. Kim spearheads the Periscope sales team and assists our winery partners with their national distribution and direct wholesale, as well as brand marketing and management. Kim lives in Melbourne and is married, with a teenage daughter and son. 

 

MICHELLE MURNANE 
MARKETING DIRECTOR

Michelle has exceptionally strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Early in her career, Michelle worked with one of Western Australia’s leading wineries in the roles of Hospitality administrator, local trade representative and functions manager. She then changed course to work in the mining sector, where she retained the roles of Assistant site manager, Projects manager and Operations support officer. Michelle has a great passion and enthusiasm, combined with a broad wine industry and marketing knowledge. Michelle lives in the Southwest with her husband in the region that she loves. 

 

DAMON MUSHA
GENERAL MANAGER, AMERICAS 

Damon handles the US markets, manages current importers, and works on developing our online platform and self-import model.

 

 

MATHEW ROWE 
SALES REPRESENTATIVE 

Matt commenced his wine industry journey by studying Viticulture and Oenology at Curtin University in W.A, before pivoting to complete a Bachelor of commerce, majoring in finance. With both a deep passion and an understanding of the wine industry, Matt brings experience in both the production and sales side of the business. He has worked with some of Australia’s most premium wine producers and retailers across Western and South Australia. Matt specialises in direct wholesale for our winery partners. Now based in Melbourne, Matt is living his best life, but loves returning to his hometown of Margaret River as often as he can. 

 

SUE CROFT
SALES REPRESENTATIVE 

Sue has over twenty-five years of wine industry experience, firstly working in her motherland, the United Kingdom before she immigrated to Australia. In addition to a wealth of international sales experience, she also established a successful domestic sales footprint based out of Perth. Sue’s primary role is targeting export market sales, with a special focus on U.K, U.S, Canada, India, and Asia. Sue also works in our domestic chains channel, with a focus on the Costco and Coles groups. Sue lives in the Northern suburbs of Perth with her husband and Golden retriever.  

  

RICHARD LEAVER
SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Based in the UK, Richard has gained experience across the wine industry from working directly with major grocers and specialist drinks retailers, to building up and developing wine brands and portfolios, before heading up commercial divisions across Europe. Richard also possesses a sound understanding of the Australian wine industry while evidence of his dedication to sustainability is his decade-long relationship with UK packaging innovator ‘Frugalpac’, where he also won a design award, which underscores his approach to business.

 


BEN WEBSTER
SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Ben commenced his wine industry journey in Perth, working in a sales representative role for two years before moving to the UK where he spent the last six and half years employed as a wine consultant to the sales team of one of the region’s biggest importers and distributors. He returned home with a wealth of international experience and knowledge, along with a WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits and a passion for the people and places that make this industry great. Ben’s primary focus is West Australian distribution, the Coles group, and the UK and European export market.

 

PIERRE-ADRIEN BRUNET
SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Originally from the Cognac region of France, Pierre commenced his career in the wine industry in Bordeaux. After a few years working in Shanghai building his network, he founded his consultancy firm “Your Wine Rep Korea Ltd”.

Pierre is currently based in Seoul, South Korea where he continues to pursue his passion for working with like-minded businesses in the wine industry.

 

BENJAMIN BIROT
SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Benjamin has lived in Shanghai for over fifteen years working as a successful business developer for large wineries from the old and new world. He has earned a master’s degree in international trade and a WSET Diploma while navigating Asia’s bustling wine and spirit market. Ben is fluent in Chinese and English, and his native French, and funnily enough, his French accent seems to get broader as more glasses of wine are consumed.

When Ben is not travelling through Asia looking for and working with importers, he enjoys taking care of his two young boys.

 

ROSE BYRON
DIRECTOR

In addition to ensuring the smooth running of Periscope Management, Rose can assist your business in researching and writing grants, ensuring that the criteria is met to give your business the best chance of success. Trademarks are also an important, but often overlooked, aspect of your label and intellectual property. Rose can provide you with the necessary assistance required to ensure that your labels and branding are adequately protected both in Australia and overseas. 

 

ELISHA HOLCROFT
BUSINESS MANAGER

Following several years in the legal industry, Elisha became a key member of one of Australia’s most respected wineries, firstly as Personal assistant to the General Manager, and then later as Executive Assistant. After a short time running her own secretarial business, Elisha joined Paul in the establishment of Periscope Management. Elisha brings to the table numerous qualifications in business administration and legal services as well as extensive experience in all aspects of the wine industry. She lives in the Southwest with her partner and two boys. 

 

SARAH ASTROMSKY 
ADMINISTRATION & LOGISTICS COORDINATOR 

Sarah manages the ‘engine room’ of the business. From the order process, facilitating the movement of a product from its point of sale to the hands of the customer. Sarah ensures that the logistics flow, consisting of transportation, warehousing, packaging, and handling, and the service flow including customs clearance, insurance, supervision, and stock and order management is carried out seamlessly. 

 

JACKI OSBORNE 
MARKETING COORDINATOR

Jacki Osborne has over fifteen years’ experience working in the wine industry, predominantly in sales roles for Houghton’s, Grape Expectations and Samuel Smith & Son. Jacki joined Periscope in mid-2017 to assist with the creation of marketing material as well co ordinating media and wine show strategies. Her role has grown substantially with Jacki now assisting our winery partners with most of their marketing and communications needs. Jacki lives in the Southwest with her husband and two young children. 

 

SANJANA PATEL 
DIGITAL MARKETING

Sanjana holds a Master’s in advertising from RMIT University. Sanjana has gained vast experience in all aspects of digital marketing within industries such as finance, human resources, education, and hospitality. Sanjana’s expertise in designing digital marketing and strategies but she is also passionate about the digital space and continues to stay abreast of the latest technologies and initiatives.
